Parcelgenie – an app that helps you spread a little happiness – AD review

I’ve just discovered Parcelgenie and I just have to share my experience with you.  It is such a simple way to spread a little happiness.

Parcelgenie! The world’s first instant gift messaging app lets you send real, little gifts to friends and family. No address needed!

What a wonderful idea!  I just had to try it.  I’d had a really up and down couple of weeks and was in need of a little treat and I have a friend who definitely needed cheering up, so this sounded like just the thing.

My only problem being that this wonderful app doesn’t work with Blackberry.  No worries, I had a cunning plan and ‘borrowed’ Daddy P’s iPhone 🙂  The Parcelgenie app also works with Android and Windows phones.

So, bearing in mind that this was the first time I’d actually used the said iPhone, I was amazed by how quick and simple the process was.

I decided to send myself the first present so I knew the exact process before testing it on my friend.

I selected the gift recipients mobile number (myself in this instance), I then scrolled through the selection of gifts (the gifts start at £1.99 and include retro sweets, chocolates, pampering kits and jewellery). You have the option to select a little card to go with your gift and can add a personalised message.  Then click send.

I then received a text on my own phone (are you still with me?)  telling me a friend would like to send me a gift, the text asks you to confirm your address for delivery (text reply is free).  I also received a separate text from Daddy P’s number saying he was sending me a gift and the text included the personalised message from the card – how clever is that!

The very next day the postman delivered this ….

I’d decided that I needed a bit of a pamper treatment, and my lovely, gift-wrapped packages contained ….

 pampering from Parcelgenie

I can recommend 🙂

I repeated the process for my friend in need of cheering up, and sent her a box of six Chocolate Cake Bombs, she was thrilled and apparently they didn’t last long 🙂

Both orders cost less than £10.00 each so a real bargain and a great way to send a little something to someone special.  I will definitely be borrowing Daddy P’s phone again!
