I was walking back from pre-school one day last week with Monkey. The sun was actually out, we were holding hands and having a lovely little conversation about our shadows.
I suddenly realised just how tall my little man has got, the days of bending to hold his hand are well behind me, he’s actually quite tall for his age. I just looked at him and admired my son, no longer a baby, no longer a toddler, just a lovely little boy, chasing his shadow all the way home. How did he grow up so fast?
Just one of life’s simple, #MagicMoments 🙂
Lovely. It’s strange isn’t it, one day they are a toddler next minute, before you even notice, they are a little boy. Sad but so special at the same time.
Too true, the last year has just flown by and he’s changed so much in that time
totally feeling like this about my oldest – hes 5 at the end of the week. where has the time gone?? and how did he get so big???
Oh, party time! Enjoy it x
I know the feeling. Sometimes I look at my little man, and get all emotional, that he’s not a baby anymore. The way he talks to me or tries to argue his case, you’d think he is a teenager already.
I am noticing this with my youngest who is 2, sometimes I just catch a glimpse of him and wonder where the baby has gone too. They grow so very quickly don’t they. Hopping over from Magic Moments 🙂
I know, sometimes I look at Monkey and can see who he’ll be at age 5 – does that make sense? Scary
This has made me think, I forgot about the back breaking days! Ethan is past my hip now, wow when did that happen!
I know, all of a sudden they just seem to shoot up, lovely and sad all in the same thought
Lovely moment. We spend so much time looking forward to them growing up and then suddenly they do and we want to freeze it to take it all in. 🙂 x
I know, you’re so right. He’ll be at school next September and then time will whizz by so fast
awww i love these little moments where you realise something new about your child, thanks for sharing and linking up with #magicmoments xx
What being a Mummy is all about 🙂
I love those moments where you just pause and appreciate. Children are such a wonderful gift… even though we get frustrated and impatient with them so often. Its good to appreciate these precious moments! Cx
Exactly, we don’t ‘step back’ enough and just enjoy it, do we! too busy
A beautiful moment, might have just had a little tear as I have actually written about The Boy starting school and I’d love those days you’ve mentioned back again.
Nipping over from Magic Moments.
Starting school! Yes have that to come next year, all happening too fast 🙂
