Ryvita – a new generation of healthy snacks

I love Ryvita!  I’ve loved the Original Ryvita crispbreads since I was child, my Mum was a big fan, and we often had Ryvita at snack time.  I am still addicted to Marmite with my Ryvita. Actually I quite like eating them with nothing on them at all! I don’t share – ooops.

I’ve been lucky enough to receive a Ryvita selection recently which has introduced me to some new variations.

Along with my old favourite – Original Ryvita, I received a box of Ryvita Fruit Crunch and Ryvita Thins – Sun-dried Tomato and Herb. Yum Yum!

I decided that this would be an ideal time to introduce my 3 and half-year old Monkey to Ryvita and thought the Thins would be a really good option.  He loves having dips for lunch with veg of all description, so today I decided we’d use the Thins instead of bread sticks.

I served the flatbread crunchy Thins with houmous, guacamole, cucumber, radish, cherry tomatoes and peppers – I’m already a big fan, but what did my little man think?

He polished off the lot, merrily dipping them in his houmous – a big hit with the young man 🙂

The Fruit Crunch are slightly different to the Original crispbread  – these are sweet rather than savoury.  They contain currants and there is a hint of honey when you take a bite. I like them.  We’re going to have them for pudding tonight as an alternative to a wafer with our vanilla ice cream and freshly grown and picked strawberries.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with a 7 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
