You may remember that I wrote a while ago about a wonderfully addictive product called Plus Plus that I’d found through the great online toy-shop The Toadstool. There are 2 different sizes of Plus Plus – the MIDI and the smaller MINI that we have, different pack quantities and a couple of colour options. I reviewed the Plus Plus Mini Basic 250.
Well since my last post we’ve been busy using our Plus Plus Mini Basic to make a number of things which you can see on my Plus Plus Pinterest board.
My 3 and half year old son loves me to make him things with Plus Plus, while he sorts it into colours and makes piles of it to use as rubble for his diggers to pick up – it works very well in a number of ways! I’m quite addicted to Plus Plus and am quite happy for Monkey to place his orders and for me to make him something.
The country is now mad for Smurfs (I am old enough to remember them the first time round, oh how I wish I’d kept my cuddly toy Smurf!). So Monkey set me a challenge ….
Mummy make me a Smurf friend for my Smurf please!
Well I never said I was an artist! But Monkey quite liked it. You can see that the pieces slot together, you can make 3D objects and bend the structures. The only limit to Plus Plus is your imagination. This is something that can be enjoyed by all the family. I can see this as something you could use as a Plus Plus alternative to Pictionary as Monkey grows up. it’s certainly not something that will get shoved in a box and not used after a while, it is simply ageless. I like the fact that you can easily build countless creations with even the smallest packs, but you can buy extra ones to make larger items. Monkey still wants me to make a Combine Harvester at some point; I’m building up to that one!
I can see some of the children in our extended family receiving the Plus Plus Mini Basic 100 packs as a little stocking filler for Christmas and I think Monkey might be asking Father Christmas for a pack of the Plus Plus Mini Basic Neon 250 to extend his colour palette! You can see the full range available on The Toadstool website here (they even do a 650 piece set).
If you need some further inspiration please visit the #TTPlusPlus Linky we have running with a number of other #TTPlusPlus fans and you can see their creations too and you can also see their competitions too – more chances to win!
