I love walking, some of my fondest memories are of walking holidays in the Lake District with my best friend. Now I have Monkey and a husband who’s not so keen on really long walks I’ve changing my walking habits to more leisurely meanders, but one thing I’ve always known is just how essential it is to have a reliable, comfy and well fittings pair of boots. I’ve had a pair of Hi-Tec boots for years which I love but I was recently offered the chance to try a new pair of lightweight Hi-Tec walking boot – the Sierra Lite Original. My boots are made for walking, and walking is what I’m going to be doing!
I knew I could rely on Hi-Tec as a brand, have to say I was a bit unsure about the colour but thought I’d reserve judgement until I saw them for myself.
Anyway, look what arrived today…..
Actually the colour is a darker shade of pink and I really do like it, you get a choice of lace colour too – decisions, decisions!
I couldn’t wait to try them on. you can see that I couldn’t decide which colour laces to try!
So what are the boots like?
Hi-Tec presents the original lightweight suede and mesh walking boot! These gorgeous fuschia pink boots feature a versatile lacing system to guarantee a secure fit, plus a moisture wick lining to keep the foot dry. A soft padded collar adds comfort, while the removable EVA sockliner adds cushioning. The rubber MDT hiking outsole is extra durable giving this unique shoe all the qualities of a hiking boot with a much more interesting look.
- Hi-Tec was the original light weight suede/mesh hiker

- Soft padded collar for added comfort
- Removable EVA sockliner adds cushioning.
- Durable rubber MDT hiking outsole
My boots lace really well, and my feet felt secure. They have a decent tread on them and are well cushioned inside with great ankle support.
So they look nice, feel comfortable but my boots are made for walking, so that’s just what I need to do, to really put them through their paces. So give me a couple of weeks and I’ll be back with my verdict.
Will they live up to my beloved old walking boots?
disclaimer: we were sent the Hi-Tec Sierra Lite Original boots for the purpose of review, my thought however remain my own honest opinions.
