Yu! Healthy Snacks

Yu! Healthy snacks – AD sent for review and giveaway

disclosure: we were sent these items for the purpose of review

My son loves his oaty cereal bars, fruit and yoghurt so when Yu! Healthy Snacks sent us some goodies to try I knew there would be a scramble at snack time!

Yu! Healthy SnacksYu! snacks are a range of healthy snacks which are made from 100% real fruit. They are, great for lunch boxes or just as a snack between meals.

As you can see from the photo above, Yu! offer a range of Fruit Chews, Yogurt Coated Fruit Pieces and Yu! Bars.
My son and Daddy P decided to ‘share’ a Yu! Fruit BarStrawberry in this case.  Other flavours include Wild Berry, Apricot and Cherry.  The Yu! Fruit Bar is guaranteed to contain 40% fruit within a cereal bar which is then coated in yogurt.

Daddy P only got a very small bite, my son was not for sharing after all!.  He thoroughly enjoyed this fruit bar.  The only way I could see myself getting a look in with the Wild Berry fruit bar was to eat in when he was at Nursery School and Daddy P was at work!  I really liked it, not too sweet and very more-ish.

Next up to try was a pack of Yu! Mango Fruit Chews – 100% fruit, less than 90 calories, fat-free and with no added sugar.  I was interested to see what he would think of this flavour (he picked it) as he doesn’t normally like Mango!  Well, they were in the bowl one minute and gone the next!  Would be great in a snack or lunch box.  Other flavours currently available include Blueberry, Blackcurrant, Cherry and Strawberry.

Last up – the Yogurt-coated fruit pieces and the Yogurt-coated Granola and fruit pieces.  Both options contain real fruit and real yoghurt.

My son opted for Blackcurrant pieces in yoghurt coating and I decided on the Granola & Strawberry in yoghurt coating.  We were both rather pleased with our selection, neither lasted very long!

Again, these would be great in a school lunchbox and I can definitely see myself buying the range for us all to enjoy.

  1. Pears and figs. 🙂
We’re big fans of Yu here, I often buy the fruit drops for Eddie, they are convenient to carry around and eat on the go.

    1. Love figs – yum, we’ve only just discovered Yu! I love the fruit bars, and yes I agree the fruit chew are great to just have in your bag. Off to LOndon tomorrow and they’ll definately be coming with us for a snack on the go

  2. I love banana, but my husband has an aversion to it (bordering on a phobia!) so we can’t have them in the house. 🙁

  3. Pomegrate seeds, hate the faff of doing extracting the seeds from the fruit but love it when you can buy them already prepped

  4. I am a big fruit fan and like nothing better than a huge fruit salad but if i had to choose would probably be strawberries.

  5. blueberries not that i ever seem to get any , there the first ones to disappear from cupboard but nobodys had em ??? lol

  6. oh I hate this question! Strawberries, mango, comice pear…but given the season a juicy Victoria plum is hard to beat

  7. At the moment its water melon – I bought 1 the other day as they were on special offer and there lovely! they are so big its provided me with a piece of fruit every day and really juicy – Im glad i tried it and will be picking one up again.

  8. I love most fruits, but especially the summer berries and cherries. Fresh figs are a favourite as well, so much nicer than the dried, sweetened ones that appear around ?Christmas time.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
