Do You Speak English, Moon? – a book review AD

disclosure:  we were sent this book for the purpose of review

When I was a little girl the moon fascinated me, my Dad used to tell me stories about a man who lived up there and I used to wonder what he ate.  My son is becoming more interested in the moon, sun and earth so I was interested to see what he’d make of our latest delivery from Orion Children’s BooksDo You Speak English, Moon?

Do you speak English, Moon?

Do You Speak English, Moon?  is a wonderful new 32-page hardback book written by Francesca Simon and illustrated by Ben Cort. It’s a lovely story of a little boy who talks to the moon at bedtime.

Do you speak English, Moon?

The boy asks the Moon all sorts of questions and discusses numerous adventures.  Does the Moon like chocolate ice cream?  What do you think?  I’m sure he does.  The little boy is amazed by all the things the Moon can see – from big cities to the bottom of the sea.

The Moon introduces the little boy to his friends – the constellations, and the Milky Way.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and discussing each page and the lovely illustrations.  Priced at £9.99 I’m sure it would be a big hit in any home.
