Personal Planner review and giveaway

Personal PlannerI am normally known as being the organised one in my circle of friends.  I’m the one who finds out about events, and rallies the troops to get us all in one place at the same time on the same day.  It has to be said that these day’s my organiser halo has slipped somewhat.  I don’t know if it’s age, hormones or constantly running around after a nearly 4 year old Monkey, but I’m rather more forgetful than I used to be.  When the lovely people at Personal Planner heard I needed some help, they came to my rescue – I now have my very own Personal Planner for 2014.

Their website is so easy to use, you can decide between a planner or notebook, then personalise it. Pick your required size, add details to the cover page, choose a colour and theme and lots more besides.  I had great fun creating my planner for 2014.

Now I have no excuse not to be organised next year!  If you want to find out more about Personal Planner then why not follow them on Twitter or like their Facebook page.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with a 7 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.

  1. I’d add a date for around this time of year, it’s a big gap between August and December – maybe Armistice Day?

  2. National Be Lazy Day!! Just one day of the year where its acceptable to wear you pjs all day, veg out by the tv and do no work or housework!!

  3. It’d have to be a winter one because I think it would be a welcome break for everyone! Maybe the 5th November! 🙂

  4. I would make November 11th a public holiday; this allows one to remember the sacrifice of many and this sacrifice rewards us all

  5. i would say have christmas eve off, so that you could spend this time with friends and family, as in my family we open our christmas presents on christmas eve

  6. Christmas Eve, the preparations are equally as fun and special as the actual day, no one should have to miss out on that.

  7. I would have a Bank Holiday called Family Day when you had to spend the whole day together without any tv or mobile phones or electronic gadgets. I might actually get to have a conversation with my teenage son!!

  8. i think it would have to be my birthday.. always have to work it, school holidays were always week afterwards, work is timetabled around school holidays.. never any change unless I make it so!

  10. I think Christmas Eve so everyone has a day of wrapping and preparing for Christmas day – With 4 young children there is a lot to do!

  11. A National Duvet day in cold gloomy wet February – the xmas glow has worn off and easter seems ages away. We definitely need a holiday there.

  12. My other half’s birthday – I love having him at home with us but he only gets time off during xmas and bank holidays. I think he works too hard so he should at least get his bday off 🙂

  13. I’d have a day in February called family day, when everything closed and everybody stayed at home and spend some time together

  14. I’d have an extra BH in the middle of the summer so we could have a bit of time out of the office enjoying the sunshine.

  15. A “Lend a Helping Hand” bank holiday at anytime of the year would be lovely when instead of our normal work we have a day which we can dedicate to doing some charity activities of our choice.

  16. I’d make halloween a bank holiday so there’s longer to get dressed up and do halloween cupcakes! I never have time with work!

  17. Either St George’s Day and we can well and truly celebrate, or sometime between late October and early November to give everyone a break as there’s a long time between the August bank holiday and Christmas

  18. The day after boxing day as it would extend christmas for everyone who has to work (retail you only get christmas day 🙁 ) and also its my birthday:)

  19. St Georges Day I think more fuss should be made like they do for St patricks day and for children to know who st george is and more about what it means

  20. I think we should have a bank hol at around about this time of year and I think it should be a thanksgiving day but without the American aspect of celebration involving a loss of another culture etc but a day where we give thanks and celebrate all that we have and all we can do for others as I don’t think we celebrate that enough.

  21. Mother earth day where we all go out camping and there is a big party to celebrate the earth ,as without her we would be nothing . she was a mum of one to just like me and she has proved one is perfect 🙂

  22. I think I recently heard that there is a Kindness Day. If so, this might be a good day / time for a Public Holiday. To allow people to acknowledge and celebrate the day. Though it would be nice and kind to remember those who work on the day e.g. Emergency services etc. What would be considerate and kind would be to ensure they get the opportunity on occasions :- to be off duty. (rota, work / life balance etc).
