Little Robin’s Christmas – 12 Days of Christmas books – Day 5

Another beautiful treat for you today, on Day 5 of my 12 Days of Christmas Books post.  Today we are featuring Little Robin’s Christmas by Jan Fearnley, which was published last month by Egmont.

Little Robin's ChristmasLittle Robin’s Christmas is a 24 page, picture story book in paperback.  It’s a lovely tale about friendship and helping those in need.  The hero of the this book is a cheerful little Robin, he’s all prepared for winter with seven warm vests to keep him warm in the run up to Christmas Day.

Every day, Robin puts on a warm vest and ventures out on a new adventure, every day he comes across someone in need.  Someone in need of something to keep them warm.  Every day he comes to the rescue and offers up his lovely warm vest.

Little Robin's ChristmasSo by the end of Christmas Eve, Little Robin’s Christmas is looking rather bleak.  He’s all alone in the snow, with nothing to keep him warm. He’s given all his warm vests away. Luckily for the little Robin, Father Christmas finds him and keeps him warm, taking him home to Mrs Christmas.

Little Robin’s Christmas is saved and he gets a special present from Father Christmas and his wife.  This is a really lovely little story.  Monkey was so pleased with the ending as he got very worried about the Robin being really cold on Christmas Eve.

Monkey and I both give Little Robin’s Christmas a big thumbs up.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with a 7 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
