Little Robin’s Christmas – 12 Days of Christmas books – Day 5 – AD sent for review

disclosure:  we were sent this book for the purpose of review

Another beautiful treat for you today, on Day 5 of my 12 Days of Christmas Books post.  Today we are featuring Little Robin’s Christmas by Jan Fearnley, which was published last month by Egmont.

Little Robin's Christmas

Little Robin’s Christmas is a 24 page, picture storybook in paperback.  It’s a lovely tale about friendship and helping those in need.  The hero of this book is a cheerful little Robin, he’s all prepared for winter with seven warm vests to keep him warm in the run-up to Christmas Day.

Every day, Robin puts on a warm vest and ventures out on a new adventure, every day he comes across someone in need.  Someone in need of something to keep them warm.  Every day he comes to the rescue and offers up his lovely warm vest.

Little Robin's Christmas

So by the end of Christmas Eve, Little Robin’s Christmas is looking rather bleak.  He’s all alone in the snow, with nothing to keep him warm. He’s given all his warm vests away. Luckily for the little Robin, Father Christmas finds him and keeps him warm, taking him home to Mrs Christmas.

Little Robin’s Christmas is saved and he gets a special present from Father Christmas and his wife.  This is a really lovely little story.  Monkey was so pleased with the ending as he got very worried about the Robin being really cold on Christmas Eve.

My son and I both give Little Robin’s Christmas a big thumbs up.
