Weather #TheGallery

So this week’s theme for The Photo Gallery is Weather – how very apt! Last Friday the gales were so bad here I really did think the roof might fly off.  I’ve never heard wind like it.  Don’t even get me started on the rain.  I am sick of the sight of the stuff.  We have a nature pond, we also now have a pond covering the top of our sandpit cover.  As quick as I empty it all down the drain, it rains again, and I’m back where I started.

WeatherThen there was a little glimmer of hope ….

WeatherA break in the clouds, a flash of blue sky.  Then it was gone, again ….. The rain started again and everywhere is suffering.

WeatherStreams look like rivers, rivers resemble lakes, fields, what fields??

WeatherI really couldn’t pick one of these photos out to stand above the rest, to sum up, the weather.  To sum up the weather of the last few days.  But there is a glimmer of hope for the British weather.  We’re off to Spain at the end of next week.  We are bound to take the weather with us!

  1. we have fields near my Mum’s house that look like lakes now, we haven’t seen greenery poking through for months

  2. Everyone appears to have had equally bad weather. Luckily being in the hills has, at least, kept us out of the floods.

  3. It’s been so changeable Mary hasn’t it – I thought our patio windows were coming in the other day. Great to see some signs of spring though and that sunshine! Lovely photos – especially love the last one. Spain will be awesome 🙂

  4. Ahhh yes, that little glimmer of hope in the sky that has me outside walking…. in the rain, yet again. I hope things change soon

  5. Y’see, in the North West it rains ALL the time. We’ve had lots of rain too but we’re so used to it that we don’t really notice. The difference is the geology I think, and the hills, ours just drains away.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
