Fruit Bowl Fruit Shapes – a review

Fruit Bowl Fruit ShapesWe’re always up for trying something new in this house.  I’m lucky that even my fussy eater of a 4 year old does love fruit.  But it’s always handy to have a pocket-sized snack in my handbag, something for a car journey, something that isn’t messy.  That’s where the Fruit Bowl Fruit Shapes come in.

Fruit Bowl Fruit ShapesThe Fruit Bowl Fruit Shapes come in Jungle Fruit Shapes and Sea Fruit Shapes, with characters like Rocky Rhino and Sally Star Fish.

The good thing about the Fruit Bowl Fruit Shapes is that they are free from added sugars, artificial colours and flavours.  The range are made from the juices of apples, pears, strawberry and blackcurrant and can be counted as one of your five a day!  They are suitable for vegetarians and are gluten free.

A friend of mine mentioned that her older children weren’t too keen on the texture of the Fruit Bowl Fruit Shapes, but that her little boy, a couple of years younger than Monkey, loves them.

Fruit Bowl Fruit ShapesSo what would Monkey make of them?  Well the first packet were scoffed so quickly in the queue for Soft Play at the weekend, that I didn’t even get a chance to see what the Fruit Bowl Fruit Shapes looked like!  They are a bit sticky, but Monkey loves them.

Fruit Bowl Fruit ShapesThey are his preferred after swimming lesson snack now.  So it looks like I’ll be stocking up again soon at Sainsbury’s, where you can buy them for £1.89 for a pack of 5 x 18g packs.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with a 7 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply.
