Spills & Thrills – the new Thomas & Friends DVD – a review

Spills & ThrillsYou all know that I have a train addict in the house, well ok, we all are!  Monkey has been a huge fan of Thomas & Friends for as long as I can remember.  So he was so excited when HiT Entertainment allowed us a sneak preview of the latest DVD – Thomas & Friends Spills & Thrills.

Spills & ThrillsThomas & Friends Spills & Thrills DVD goes on sale on 31st March, with over 70 minutes of great action.  You also get a free storybook, so for £12.99 this is a bargain for any fan.

The episodes featured are:

Away from the Sea
The Smelly Kipper
No More Mr Nice Engine
Gone Fishing
Thomas’ Shortcut
The Afternoon Tea Express

Spills & ThrillsMonkey was in his element.  He was laughing all the way through Thomas & Friends Spills & Thrills.

Poor old Salty has problems with his engine, so Porter comes to his aid.  Salty has his engine fixed at the Diesel Works, but then gets covered in oil and ends up in a right mess with some party decorations!

We love cranes, and Harvey is fab.  A train that’s a crane, what more could a Monkey ask for!  In Gone Fishing, Harvey gets to meet Porter down at the docks.  Bill and Ben convince Harvey that he should be able to pull some heavy flat beds.  He soon realises that pulling freight is more difficult than he imagined.  He speeds out of control and disaster strikes!

As well as the action packed episodes there are some lovely extras including Mr Perkin’s Story Time, a big favourite here.

Why not follow Thomas & Friends on Facebook, Twitter and the website for all the latest news.  A couple of weeks ago saw the launch of the new Thomas & Friends hub.

Spills & ThrillsThe new online hub celebrates key milestones and moments on a children’s journey through childhood, offering you a variety of activities to do with your little one throughout the year! The hub includes the ‘Really Useful Challenge Chart’ and over the coming months new activities will be added (to take you up to Christmas) including competitions, challenges and seasonal games.

  1. We’ve loved this DVD so much, I think it’s the best we’ve had of the ‘episode’ style DVDs. Salty is one of our favourite engines so it was fab to see him feature so much.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
