Immortalised on canvas – a review

Immortilised on canvas

When I was asked recently if I’d like to be immortalised on canvas I had just the photo in mind.  The lovely people at Picanova have a great deal on at the moment over on their website and you can get a free 30x20cm canvas or 40x30cm canvas for only £6.29!  Just use code CANVAS4YOU at the checkout.

I was interested to see what they would look like so picked my favourite photo of Monkey and I to be immortalised on canvas, I picked the 60x40cm size with a white edging and 2cm frame thickness.  The size of canvas you can select will depend of the pixel size of the original photograph you use.

I’ve not had a canvas print before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m pleased with the quality.  I think the print looks great next to the original photograph.

Immortilised on canvasThe service was fast and efficient and the canvas itself was well packaged.  My only criticism is that the canvas isn’t supplied with a hanging kit and isn’t pre-strung.  I already had a hanging hook up on the wall and the frame of the canvas sits on it quite well.  But it would have been nice to have everything supplied.  Again, I don’t know if this is standard or not.

But Monkey is thrilled to have us immortalised on canvas.  We now have our space in the hallway upstairs.

I’ve been pleased with the service we’ve received and the quality of the canvas, so the free options on the Picanova website would be a great idea in my opinion. Please note you do pay postage, but even so it’s a good deal.

  1. I love printing canvas and my house is full of it. It is great to see picture in canvas than printing paper.
