A number of my blogging friends have been telling me to get a battery charger for my phone for ages. It’s something that’s been on my ‘to do’ list and never seems to make it to the top of said list. But never fear RAVPower have come to my rescue. They asked me if I could use their RAVPower Luster 6000mAh External Battery Charger. If it works with an iPhone5 then yes please!
Delivery was prompt, now could this techno dinosaur actually use it?
The RAVPower Luster 6000mAh External Battery Charger is supplied complete with a cable to charge the charger itself, a carry pouch and instruction leaflet.
The charger cable can be fitted to a laptop or I’ve tested it with the socket from my iPhone power lead. I would imagine we could also charge it through the charge point in the car.
But the great thing I’ve found with the RAVPower Luster 6000mAh External Battery Charger is mine came already fully charged. When you turn it on with the little silver power button the charge status blue LED’s light up, showing you the percentage of charge still held within the battery charger.
As anyone who knows me with tell you I am glued to my phone and there my phone battery is always running low. I fitted my phone charger cable to the RAVPower Luster 6000mAh External Battery Charger and waited for my phone to charge.
It didn’t take long at all considering my phone battery was pretty much spent. I was really impressed. The RAVPower Luster 6000mAh External Battery Charger has also kept its charge really well. I haven’t used it since last week and when I just turned it on it’s still on 75% charge, making it a reliable item to take out and about with me. It fits in my handbag and pockets.
So no more praying I get a seat on the train next to a power socket, stressing at conferences and exhibitions because my phone is about to die. I am sorted thanks to RAVPower.
The battery charger comes in 4 colours, I received the gold in this instance.
Now there are some techie facts which went straight over my head, I’m never going to pretend to know what it all means. Here they are – be impressed!
The 2.1A output gives faster charging potential. It has a 6000mAh capacity which means it can run my phone for 15 hours, plus 40 hours extra talk and 150 hours extra of music. If a short-circuit or battery overload should occur when charging the battery charger will automatically shutdown.
It also has an LED flashlight (I’ve not found a use for this yet but someone might). Worth noting that there is an error in the manual and this is actually operated by double clicking the power switch.
I love it, it’s easy to use and I’ve found it to be very reliable. The RAVPower Luster 6000mAh External Battery Charger has a RRP of £49.99 but is currently on offer on Amazon for £11.99 – a bargain, and my affiliate link takes you to the relevant page.
