The Alphabet Photography Project C is for Cliffs

Week 3 of PODcast‘s linky The Alphabet Photography Project and what to pick for C? Can’t pick Cat this year, as I had that last time around.  I was looking through some photographs and I very nearly picked Castle, but then I spotted this one.  My The Alphabet Photography Project C is for Cliffs.

The Alphabet Photography Project C is for Cliffs

We stayed on the outskirts of Dover for a weekend last October and on the Saturday we were treated to glorious sunshine.  We’d been to Dover Castle for most of the day (post to follow on that soon) and decided that we’d walk to South Foreland Lighthouse along the cliff walk.

The views were wonderful and the cliffs themselves are just so iconic, it was great to finally see them for ourselves.  Monkey was somewhat less impressed with white rock and just wanted to get to the lighthouse.  He did like looking at all the ferries coming in and out of the port.  The traffic is pretty much constant so he was more than happy to count the boats in and out on their way to and from France across the Channel.

I’ve walked along lots of cliff paths before across the country, but there really is something a bit special about the white cliffs of Dover.  Have you seen them?

  1. Fabulous photo. i’m the same as you, sometimes I think of a word for the letter of the alphabet and then realise that I picked that word last time! x

  2. Great view of the cliffs. We love coastal walks too. Different range of birds to spot, so the whole family enjoys it. #AlphabetPhoto
