The B&W Photography Project Week 30

The B&W Photography Project Week 30 #bwphotoproject

The B&W Photography Project Week 30 with PODCast and I’m going back to nature this week.  I’ve been looking through some photographs from the trip to Kent we made back in October and playing around with different shots.  I love Teasels, they’ve fascinated me since I was a child.

The B&W Photography Project Week 30

This photo was taken on our walk along the White Cliffs of Dover heading towards South Foreland Lighthouse.

I think it works well in black and white, rather dramatic and the thorns on the stems really stand out.  On this day in October the sky was a beautiful blue and there was no wind.  We were so lucky.

  1. Oh I agree, this really does work well in B&W because of the prickly subject matter, the contrast is really picked up and you feel the edges of the Teasels just punching thru the photo.
    Great subject and fab capture

  2. This is brilliant in black and white, it brings out the texture and details amazingly. Fab shot!

  3. A great subject for B&W – I love teasels too and have happy memories of an aunt transforming them into hedgehog families complete with hand sewn clothes! Thanks for prompting that memory 🙂 #bwphotoproject
