The B&W Photography Project Week 30 with PODCast and I’m going back to nature this week. I’ve been looking through some photographs from the trip to Kent we made back in October and playing around with different shots. I love Teasels, they’ve fascinated me since I was a child.
This photo was taken on our walk along the White Cliffs of Dover heading towards South Foreland Lighthouse.
I think it works well in black and white, rather dramatic and the thorns on the stems really stand out. On this day in October the sky was a beautiful blue and there was no wind. We were so lucky.
Oh I agree, this really does work well in B&W because of the prickly subject matter, the contrast is really picked up and you feel the edges of the Teasels just punching thru the photo.
Great subject and fab capture
I know what you mean about teasels – we have loads on the nearby field and I love looking at their shape. Works beautifully 🙂
This is brilliant in black and white, it brings out the texture and details amazingly. Fab shot!
Gorgeous, I read that post and loved your photos but this looks great in black and white x
A great subject for B&W – I love teasels too and have happy memories of an aunt transforming them into hedgehog families complete with hand sewn clothes! Thanks for prompting that memory 🙂 #bwphotoproject
Very effective in black and white.
