The Four Little Pigs

The Four Little Pigs

The Three Little Pigs is one of Monkey’s favourite stories and the Orchard Toys games is still a big hit here two years down the line.  So what would Monkey make of our latest Maverick Arts Publishing book – The Four Little Pigs, written by Kimara Nye?

The Four Little Pigs

In The Four Little Pigs we meet a little boy called Tom who has a special Granny, she’s not like Monkey’s Granny at all!  Tom’s Granny is a witch.

One night when Tom is staying with his Granny she sits down to read him the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs, but Tom thinks the story is boring (Monkey wouldn’t agree!).  But when you have a Granny who can cast a magic spell, no story can possibly be boring. Before Tom knows what has happened he is in the story, he can see three little house and he now has a snout – he’s the fourth little pig!

We follow Tom as he runs to warn each of the pigs in turn and see how he helps to keep the big bad wolf at bay.

The Four Little Pigs

Monkey giggled his way through The Four Little Pigs, knowing the original story meant he could join in and he loved the idea that Tom was trying to save all of the pigs.  What plan will Tom have to fox the wolf in each house?

The illustrations by Marcin Bruchnalski are vibrant and help to bring the humour of this tale to life.  It’s certainly been a big hit here and we give The Four Little Pigs a big thumbs up.
