Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky 365 Project A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year! Project 365 2015 Week 6 Days 32-38.
Sunday 1st February – Day 32
Monkey and I spent the morning on a couple of craft projects and then he decided he wanted to make the lunch – a first. He did really well with it.
Monday 2nd February – Day 33
Whilst Monkey was at school I went to my sewing class and we tried to sort out the dressing gown I’m making for him. The pattern sizes are way too big, and it’s caused a few issues but all a learning process. A quiet afternoon at home with Monkey and then I spotted this sight as I went to bed. Would we be making a snowman before school in the morning?
Tuesday 3rd February – Day 34
No snowman building – it had all disappeared by lunchtime 🙁
I was just about to leave home for a lunch date with a friend when I got a call from the school. Monkey had had an accident and wasn’t feeling well. Bless him, he’d fallen over and landed on his nose, had a huge nose bleed and just wanted his Mummy. This picture doesn’t really show it but by bedtime all the left side of his nose had swollen up and the bruising was coming out. No swimming lesson and lots of cuddles required.
Wednesday 4th February – Day 35
The boy has no luck! today he came out of school with an accident form – one of his class mates had accidentally dropped a toy on his head – big bruise to add to his sore nose. We got home and were playing upstairs when the door went. I’d totally forgot he was having his hair cut.
Thursday 5th February – Day 36
After dropping Monkey at school I drove up to the NEC for the last day of Spring Fair. Met Iona from Redpeffer and we had a number of really constructive meetings, well worth the drive. Home to pick up Monkey from school and then he was sat happily drawing and writing!!! I think the tide may be turning.
Friday 6th February – Day 37
Mummy come and listen to me and Daddy singing the Mister Maker song! This is what awaited me this morning. Hysterical, note Daddy P with Monkey’s handmade ‘guitar’! Love that boy. I popped over to Banbury as I wanted to have a look around a fabric store for my next sewing project – it was a bit of a disappointment compared to years ago. But I found something, so I’m already to start again on Monday.
Saturday 7th February – Day 38
Monkey and I went used the Park and Ride service to get into Oxford this morning. We met up with Galina from Chez Maximka and her son and we all got to meet the Honey Monster. Afterwards we took the boys for lunch at Giraffe – a new experience for all of us. Galina was the first blogger I met, back in 2013 and we haven’t had the chance to get together since, so it was great to rectify that.
Poor Monkey, so many accidents in one week. It was great fun to meet you two today, we should do it more often, and not wait for another two years. Lovely photos of your young man.
He takes after his mother – sadly.
Aw poor boy with the bumps and bruises – hope he’s okay now. The writing and drawing will just happen – he seems similar to my boy who wasn’t interested in picking up a pencil at all during his Reception year. It’s so nice to meet up with other bloggers isn’t it? 🙂
He’s fine now thanks.
Oh dear, poor Monkey! Two accidents in one week is a bit much. Sound like you’ve had a good week, apart from that though!
I know – he was in the wars.
Poor Monkey, he really didn’t have much luck this week 🙁 I love that he made his own lunch – they get so grown-up when they start to do this. #365
Even better that he made our lunch too!
It sounds like Monkey has been through the wars this week. Poor boy. Apart from that it sounds like you had some nice trips out x
Yes, bless him, not he best start to the week.
Hope he’s recovered from his bumps. In the nosebleed day photo, he does look a bit pale.
I didn’t know there was a Giraffe in Oxford. Whereabouts is that? Good to know.
It’s in George Street. He’s much better now thanks
Oh, what a shame, he has been in the wars! Lovely that you managed to catch up with both Iona and Galina 🙂
Yes it was a good catch up week even with a bumpy start!
Oh dear poor monkey, he has been in the wars this week, hope he is ok now!
We had not snow here, but that’s a lovely picture of it, even though you didn’t get to play in it.
He’s fine now thankfully!
oh bless him this week! i certainly hope next week is less dramatic for him and no more injuries!
It was one of those weeks
I hope Monkey has a better week this week. Love the two man band happening in your house.
Yes all is well and good now 🙂
Aww what a shame that the snow didn’t stick. I hope some more arrives for him so he can build a snowman. Hope he is feeling better soon too, we’ve also been ill for the past two weeks.

Doesn’t look like it’s coming any time soon 🙂
Oh gosh poor Monkey! Hope he is feeling OK now!
Thankfully he’s back to normal now
What a bumpy week! How great though to meet up with some other bloggers. How’s the sewing going? (Long ago I was rather good at it)
Just finished the sewing projects today, so yes, I’m behind with that too!
Lovely photos! Your boy has been in the wars this week! Bless him! I hope he’s ok now x
He’s fine, I’m sure there will be more to come!
Oh no poor Monkey, hope he’s better now. Well, must be ok if you visited the honey monster 😉 We’re still waiting for a decent amount of snow too. And bless him making lunch x #365
Doesn’t look like we’re getting any snow does it.
Love that he made lunch – must get going on some child labour myself. Looks like he’s recovered from his bump.
I’m all for it – next is loading the washing machine!
Lots of bumps in a week. My daughter is the same, bruised legs all the time!
We had fingers crossed for snow but none where we live. Had to travel to Brecon to get lots of lovely snow.
We’re still waiting for snow here
How lovely of Monkey to make you lunch. Hope he has had a less accident prone week this week!
He has stuck to his normal bruises since thankfully
