Comfort and Style from Hotter shoes

Comfort and Style from Hotter shoes

It’s been a standing joke with my nieces since they were little that AM really does love her shoes.  I have to admit that since having Monkey and giving up my job, my show spending sprees are a little less frequent, but I still love shoes.  I’m off to the Albert Hall next week, I have my little black dress to wear but I really wanted some new shoes to finish off my outfit.  I’ve found ‘the shoes’ and have also found comfort and Style from Hotter shoes.

Hotter opened a new store in Banbury in December, and I was invited along last week to have a look round and to see if they could help me find the shoes for my trip to the Opera! The first thing you notice is how light and airy the shop feels.  I’ve spent years living in and around the Banbury area and this store really is a breath of fresh air.

The staff were friendly, knew the ranges and were only to happy to offer advice, help with fittings etc.  I find that shoes are just like clothes, a size that may fit in one shop won’t fit in another.  I’m generally a 5½, which can also make shoe shopping tricky – too large, too small and sometimes that Goldilocks moment, just right!

I was surprised by the range of shoes available in Hotter, there really is something for all ages and requirements.

I love the colours in the Hotter SS15 ranges – dusty pink, aqua and mustard.  If I wasn’t totally focussed on next weeks excursion then I think I would have been looking for some new summer sandals for our trip to Spain.  I really like the ‘Dawn’ Wedges with the 2¾ inch heel – perfect for sunny days exploring Andalusia.

The cushioned soles would give comfort and the adjustable straps look much nicer than buckles which can be fiddly to adjust in the heat.  I can see myself coming back to Hotter to buy those!

But on this visit I really was looking for something else, a little more formal, I turned around and it was love at first sight.

My eyes had settled on the ‘Donna’ suede shoes.  But what colour to go for?  I’m so relieved that the Dark Aqua version weren’t in store that day (you can order on-line too) or my decision would have been even harder! I’m not normally a pink person, but something about these dark pink suede shoes was calling me.

As I’ve said I’m normally a 5½ so we started with those, whilst the cushioned soles made me feel like I was wearing slippers, the assistant and I both agreed that it would be worth trying a 5 for size.  I was looking for comfort and Style from Hotter shoes, and I’ve found it in my new Donna shoes priced at £85.  We’re catching the train, and then tube to the Albert Hall, but i know there is some walking to be done, so comfort is really important. I’m going to the Opera, so I want something stylish too.  I love the fact that these shoes can dress up an outfit, but you could just as easily wear them with a pair of jeans.

Another great thing about Hotter, is the range of matching handbags.  There is nothing worse than planning for an occasion, finding ‘the’ shoes and then not being able to find a bag to match.  I decided that the shoes really deserved to come home with a matching bag, so for £25 I bought the clutch bag (comes with chain strap too).

I’ve treated my new shoes and bag with some suede protector, also available from Hotter, as who knows what the weather will be doing next week!  So watch this space to see me all ready for a night out in London with a little comfort and style from Hotter shoes.

  1. You should have popped in and said hello while you were there.

I’ve only nipped in during the sale to the shop, but it does look really airy with all the glass front. Anything with padded insoles has to be good. I think all heels should have that.

  2. Your Hotter store looks huge. I was a size smaller when I visited my local store which was surprising but great with the service that was provided to see they made sure the shoes were a perfect fit. Enjoy the opera.

  3. They are absolutely gorgeous and I love the colour! How fab that you can get a matching handbag too.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
