Week 9 of PODcast‘s linky The Alphabet Photography Project and what to pick for I? Last year I chose Immaculate and gave you a glimpse into a Ferrari F1 pit garage. This year? Uum… Insects always spring to mind with our family, and then I found this photo, a photo I adore – The Alphabet Photography Project I is for Inspection.
This photo was taken last summer as part of a review for a Bug Safari kit. Monkey had found a spider in the sandpit and it was time to take a closer inspection. This was a moment in time when I wish Guru Gramps had been with us. It took me back to my own childhood, me and my brother inspecting insects that we’d caught on bug hunting trips with Dad.
I love the look of intent on Monkey’s face, his interest clear for all to see, my little bug hunter following in the family tradition. There have been many more bug hunting trips since this photo was taken and another classic Inspection came on a trip to Cotswold Farm Park last summer with Redpeffer and her family.
Two little boys inspecting the water and trying to identify the inhabitants. Little bug hunters in the making.
What would you pick for I?
ooh no, that spider!! he’s a brave boy, I couldn’t get that close! x #alphabetphoto
We love mini beasts here 🙂
Another great word. “I” really inspires (oops!) some positive words. We love bugs too. I was very tempted to include an insect this time round. Glad Monkey has inherited the fascination. #AlphabetPhoto
Yes indeed 🙂
Love that picture of the two of them investigating and that is a magnificent garden spider 🙂
It’s lovely isn’t it
Such a great word, I love to see the kids inspecting things, they are so curious. It’s wonderful x
Thanks
Grace says – What a great post. When me and Lucas went away together with Forest Holidays, we did pond dipping and we were ‘inspecting’ too. We saw loads of stuff. It’s awesome fun to do, isn’t it? #alphabetphoto
It’s great fun isn’t it – we plan on doing lots more this year.
What a great ‘I’ They look so interested and what a great way to learn about wildlife in the water. The photos are great 🙂 #alphabetphoto
This is what makes me happy! When I see my son inspecting something that caught his attention & curiosity! This is such a lovely word. One that kids would never tire of =) #alphabetphoto
