I was first introduced to the Eisberg range of alcohol free wine when I met up with a group of blogging friends back in November 2013. I quite liked their Chardonnay and when I was asked if I’d like to try a different bottle recently, I thought I’d try Eisberg alcohol free Red Wine for a change.
Maybe Eisberg alcohol free Red Wine could be an option if you’re giving up alcohol for Lent, pregnant or have health issues. I abstained totally from alcohol when I was pregnant with Monkey, apart from one glass of Bucks Fizz on my wedding day. I wasn’t even aware of the Eisberg option then.
I have to be totally honest, the Cabernet Sauvignon didn’t grab me as a stand alone glass of wine. For me it just tastes too fruity, and I wasn’t that keen. I don’t drink squash and it felt a little on that side of the drinks spectrum for my particular taste.
But I had a little brainwave as I was looking at the Eisberg website the other night. I spotted something to get me in the mood for our trip to Spain in June – Eisberg Sangria! Now we were talking.
I mixed 3 parts Eisberg red wine, 1 part orange juice and 2 parts lemonade and I have to say that it’s fab. Really refreshing and I can drink as much as I like with no ill effects in the morning 🙂
The Eisberg alcohol free wine range is available in the main supermarkets priced at £3.50 per bottle. So if you are looking for a healthier option this could be for you – also only 26 calories per 125ml glass serving.
disclaimer: we were sent this item in exchange for an honest review.
I used to drink alcohol quite often, but I can count the alcoholic drinks I’ve had this year on one hand, and I haven’t missed it. I certainly haven’t missed the feeling rough the next morning! Your spritzer with orange sounds lovely and refreshing 🙂
(Thank you for the link!)
I rarely drink these days either, like a glass of wine or beer occasionally but can’t cope with headaches afterwards with anything more.
