Come fly with Pilot Monkey and Pretend to Bee

Come fly with Pilot Monkey and Pretend to Bee – review and giveaway

I have to be honest that fancy dress days at school fill me with dread when they are themed around Super Heroes and the like.  Monkey just isn’t fussed about dressing up in anything that doesn’t reflect real life.  With our recent visit to the Concorde Experience at Brooklands Museum, he is now able to relive the moment! Come fly with Pilot Monkey and Pretend to Bee.

Pretend to Bee are an online retailer providing a whole host of character and role play costumes and I just knew that Monkey would love their Pilot role play costume.

The set comes with a double-breasted blazer, trousers with elasticated waist, a hat with elasticated inset so it fits really well (happy faces all round) and a little ‘bib’ insert with collar and fixed tie on a velcro fastening.

I ordered the size 5-7 years, so knew that it would be a bit roomy on a 5 year old Monkey. The suit can be washed which is a bonus as some fancy dress costumes we’ve had are wipe clean only. It was time to Come fly with Pilot Monkey and Pretend to Bee and see what Monkey thought.

It was an instant hit.  The hat fits really well, but with the hidden elasticated band there is room for him to grow and it will still fit him. The trousers and jacket are a generous fit, but that’s as I would expect from a 5-7 year age range and again, it means this set will last!

I will take the trousers up for him and we can let them down as he continues to grow. The velcro fastening on the bib insert also works well and it wasn’t long before our pilot was ready for his first flight.

The set is priced at £20.95 and is available in two sizes – 3-5 and 5-7 years.  But there are different outfits available in smaller and larger sizes, there are some cute little outfits for babies too!  Monkey’s pilot outfit is well made and I can see him getting lots of wear out of it in the next couple of years.
