London The Thames

London the Thames 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

I might have mentioned before that I love maps in all shapes, sizes and forms.  As you know, I also love jigsaw puzzles, so when I was asked to review London the Thames I obviously said yes please!  It’s a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle from Ravensburger and just my cup of tea!

London The Thames

London the Thames is illustrated by Christopher Rogers and shows London from the Houses of Parliament, looking eastwards out towards the Thames Barrier and the O2 stadium.  I loved the look of this puzzle before I’d even started it.  My 5 year old son is too young to complete this puzzle himself, but he’d regularly check on my progress and we’d discuss the various landmarks that he can already recognise.

London the Thames

London the Thames is another great Ravensburger puzzle, full of detail and a snapshot of an ever-changing city landscape.

London the Thames

London has changed so much in my own lifetime, with the London Eye, the Gherkin and the Millennium Dome (now the O2), but also within Monkey’s lifetime with the iconic The Shard.

London the Thames

This is the kind of puzzle that I’ll enjoy piecing together again and again in the years to come.  I’ll use it as an educational aid with Monkey as he learns more about the history of our capital city.  We’ll watch London change and compare notes.

Priced at £11.99 I can thoroughly recommend London the Thames, it’s a really interesting puzzle to complete.
