Brewed with a view

Brewed with a view

I do like a good cup of tea, and these days getting one in relaxing surroundings is a luxury! There always seems to be a deadline to meet, housework to do, clothes to mend, shoes to repair (please god I can get Monkey through to the end of term with his shoes – it’s looking doubtful), emails pinging, PPI calls ringing.  Oh, how I would love a peaceful cup of tea. Dragonfly Tea have teamed up with the British Guild Of Travel Writers to create a 23 page paperback booked called Brewed with a View to showcase some iconic destinations that would be ideal places to drink a quiet cup of tea.

Experts at Dragonfly Tea match tastes and tales of fine tea leaves with iconic British views, to heighten enjoyment of both tea and place using principles of the new science of ‘superadditivity’

Brewed with a view

I’ve walked around Wast Water in the Lake District a few times and never had the opportunity to just sit and soak up the scenery with a cuppa, but it would be a perfect location for it.

Other shots include the wonderful Leadenhall Market which I only discovered myself last weekend when wandering around London last Sunday after BritMums Live.

Another favourite for me would be the Roman Baths in Bath.  I visited there on my birthday many years ago, in the pouring rain and would love to revisit on a nicer day.

The book comes complete with a sample of 10 teas, some of which are not available in the supermarket.

If you could pick anywhere in the British Isles to sit and enjoy a quiet cup of tea, where would you choose?  My personal choice would be sitting in the gardens at Hampton Court Palace, it’s one of my favourite places and somewhere I’ve loved since childhood.
