Hedgehugs Horace and Hattiepillar

Hedgehugs Horace and Hattiepillar

You may remember our first introduction to the Hedgehugs back in February last year. We love hedgehogs and the story of these little friends was a big hit.  So here we are, with the second installment. Hedgehugs Horace and Hattiepillar which was published last month through Maverick Arts Publishing.

Hedgehugs Horace and Hattiepillar

Lucy Tapper and Steve Wilson return with Hedgehugs Horace and Hattiepillar and in this charming tale we follow the friends as they discover the life-cycle of the butterfly.

The friends are having a day filled with adventure when they discover something shiny under a leaf.  What could it be Monkey I asked?  It looks like a pea Mummy!  So it does, but in fact it was a little egg, what would hatch out? To Monkey’s delight, we turned the page and it was a caterpillar.  Being big bug hunters, this added instant appeal to Hedgehugs Horace and Hattiepillar.

We follow the friends as they learn that caterpillars like to eat leaves, lots and lots of them!

Then the caterpillar gets so big it pupates and turns into a beautiful, colourful butterfly. Monkey got excited as the butterfly looks very similar to the Swallowtail butterflies we saw in Spain earlier in the month.

Now Hettie and Horace want to be beautiful just like the butterfly and we follow them as they try to follow the journey the caterpillar took.

I won’t ruin the ending but it involved flowers and is very sweet. Hedgehugs Horace and Hattiepillar is another winner here.  This charming paperback is priced at £6.99 and I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate link below for your reference.
