Scrunch Net and Bucket

When we went to Spain at the beginning of the month we asked Granny and Gramps to buy a bucket and spade for us, suitcase space is always at a premium and it made sense to buy locally and keep there.  The only issue with that being, that they won’t get used again until our next Spanish trip, whenever that may be.  Last summer when we went to Charmouth we bought Monkey a fishing net, it was great, but came with a long bamboo handle, a lethal weapon if not handled correctly and a pain to store!  Well this summer all my problems are solved as I’ve discovered the Scrunch Net and Bucket.  These items are part of a range of brightly coloured silicone products that literally scrunch up (or in the case of the net – fold up).

The whole idea of the Scrunch range, is that they are so easily transported, making them easy to use at home and when out and about on adventures.  I love the idea of this brand and know we will find a lot of different uses for the Scrunch Net and Bucket over the summer months ahead.

The Scrunch Bucket really can be folded up and carried around in a handbag, it then bounces back into shape and is ready for play time.

The bucket is a great size for youngsters and the large handle makes it easy for them to grip it when it’s full of sand, water or mud!

Monkey has loved using his new Scrunch Bucket to carry water to his digging area so he can make Mud Soup – it’s a real delicacy, you should try it at home!  He also got really excited when I told him we could wash the bucket and put it in his backpack when we next go to the seaside.  He’ll love it and it’s one less bulky item to take with us.

Now, as I’ve already mentioned, Monkey has a fishing net that we bought last year.  It’s lovely, but the long handle makes it such a pain to store and fit in my boot.  I have to be honest, it’s the thing that gets forgotten when we’re off on adventure.  But the Scrunch Net has come to my rescue, and again, I think it’s a great idea.

The Scrunch Net comes with a telescopic arm, making it really portable; it fits in my handbag and in our rucksack easily. The arm extends from 18-66 cms making it the perfect size for Monkey to go pond dipping or bug hunting.  He’s even been using it to catch soft balls in the garden this week.  The arm is easy for him to be able to extend without any help from me, which is something else he loves.

Included in the Scrunch range you can also find an inflatable ball, spade and various moulds.  I’ve been really impressed with the Scrunch Net and Bucket we’ve received, both as products and with regards to quality and the pricing is good too, in my opinion.  The Net retails at £5.99 and the Bucket at £7.99 – both are available from Cheeky Rascals, various colour options are available as well.

  1. what a great idea for a net, ours lives in the shed and never goes out as we forget or as you say is lethal especially on a bike. these would be perfect for us living near the beach and for taking on holiday. Wish I had thought of these 🙂 Happy digging

  2. I’ve been looking for these for years! We bought a yellow bucket when my daughter was very small and loved it, still use it. It is so handy to carry around. But I’ve never seen them since (can’t remember where I got it from originally either.) Such a great idea and I didn’t know you could get nets and other stuff. Definitely going to check them out.
