CaseApp iPad mini skin

CaseApp iPad mini skin – review and giveaway

I reviewed for CaseApp a while ago when I treated Daddy P to a new phone case.  He’s been really impressed with the quality of the case and I was impressed with their service. A while ago I treated myself to an iPad mini. I bought a case that covered the screen at the time, but I didn’t realise that it didn’t cover the back until it arrived.  It’s been on my ‘to do’ list for a while to get this sorted so I was really pleased to be offered a CaseApp iPad mini skin to review recently.

With CaseApp you can customise your own phone and tablet cases and skins along with MacBook skins.  I brought my iPad mini specifically to help with blogging when I’m out and about and to make app reviews easier to do using a larger screen.  With that in mind I decided to make a personalised skin for my iPad with a bit of blog branding.  If I didn’t have something specific in mind I could have used one of the many CaseApp templates.

I have a photo of Monkey and I that was taken nearly 2 years ago now (eek!) but I love it, it’s part of my blog header, is on my business cards, phone case and a canvas that hangs in my living room.

The upload process is really easy, if I’d been creating my skin as a present I think I’d have been tempted to go for a photo collage.  Once I’d uploaded my photo, I could adjust it to fit the size of my iPad, turn it round etc.  As soon as I was happy with the alignment of the photo itself I added my text, you can change text colour, size and alignment.  I wish there were a few more fonts to choose from, but that was my only niggle. My order was then ready to process, and I waited eagerly for my iPad mini skin to arrive.

The skin arrived as a flat sheet and I just needed to peel away from the backing and place on my iPad.  I must admit I was worried I’d totally cock it up, but it really was super easy to fix.  I just lined up the holes along the edge of the skin with my iPad control and it went on smoothly.

No bubbles, no need to reapply.  Success and I am really pleased with the result too. For £17.00 I’m thrilled with my new blog skin and I’ve got some exciting news to share with you too.  The quality is good and I think the photographic image has come out well too.

I have a giveaway below where one lucky reader can win a skin/case up to the value of £22 for themselves and I have a 20% reader discount code to share with you all – use OVER40CASE20 at the checkout.
