A Higgidy Picnic

A Higgidy Picnic

Looking out at the rain today it’s hard to imagine we will ever have a summer full of outdoor picnics isn’t it!  But I shall remain hopeful that the sun will return soon.  We weren’t going to let the weather stop us from having a Higgidy picnic though, we just ate in the lounge instead.

We’d been sent some vouchers so we could try out the range of quiches available from Higgidy and boy have we been impressed! They are so full of wonderful ingredients with only a thin pastry layer.  Tasty, filling and a great addition to any picnic.

I especially liked the idea of the Little quiches, perfect for younger ones to enjoy.  My son isn’t keen on Feta Cheese and Spinach, but I love the combination so he was more than happy to have his own size option!

Higgidy have launched The Little Picnic Guide! which is full of useful tips and recipes which we will be making use of to ensure we have fab picnics all summer long.

What’s your top tip for a great picnic?  Do you have a must have item as part of your picnic selection?  No picnic for us is complete without a big bowl of strawberries to finish off our summer lunch!  As well as the recipes included in the guide there are some lovely ones on the Higgidy website. My favourite picnic spot?  Well I’d have to choose our favourite picnic tree at Blenheim Palace, somewhere we’ve sat and had a picnic since Monkey was 4 months old.  Somewhere we always return to for a picnic treat.

disclaimer:  we were sent some Higgidy vouchers in exchange for this post, our comments remain our own honest opinions.

  1. These look scrumptious! I’d love to try them! Our must – have items for a picnic are sausage rolls, dips and breadsticks – as well as some fruit like grapes or strawberries. Yummy!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
