Pacca Alpaca Travel Playtime app

You may remember that we reviewed the Pacca Alpaca Australia app a while back.  Well there is a new app on the block now, continuing the travel theme – the Pacca Alpaca Travel Playtime app.

Pacca Alpaca Travel Playtime app

The Pacca Alpaca Travel Playtime app is aimed at children aged 2-6 years and includes 50 different activities whilst introducing children to 23 different countries and cultures from around the world.

Pacca Alpaca returns as our guide with his carousel, spin the carousel to decide where you want to explore and what activity you fancy.  Monkey loves this app, and it’s kept him well entertained whilst travelling to London on the train, and whilst I was at a blogging talk recently.  It’s a fun app but also educational.  It also features the flags of each country represented in the app – and you all know how much I love flags!

The activities range from dot-to-dot, jigsaws, sticker games, spot the difference and drawing games.

We’ve been spotting the differences in pictures of the Sphinx and naming the map of Egypt, followed by Mummy recounting tales of her camel ride around the Sphinx and Pyramids and then finding the country on our globe and in our atlas.

We’ve built Russian domes and talked about a lady we’ve met from Russia and my Uncle’s trip to Moscow and St Petersburg.  I love this app, as I’m passionate that Monkey should know about the world we live in, the wonderful cultures that exist within it and the historical delights that are out there waiting to be explored.

It’s great that London gets a mention too in the games, a city Monkey knows quite well now, with landmarks he instantly recognises.

The games are great for building hand eye coordination skills, as well as observation and concentration and they can be played quickly and put down or you can go from one to another.  There is none of this fighting to beat the clock business, so Pacca Alpaca Travel Playtime app is a gentle app for kids to enjoy.

There are no in-app purchases to worry about either, which always gets a big thumbs up from me.  For more information on the app please pop over to the Pacca Alpaca website.

The app is available on iTunes and Google Play, normally for £1.49 but until Midnight tonight you can get the app on Google Play for just 99p to celebrate the app being featured in the Number 1 slot on Google Play’s Family Apps.

disclaimer:  we were given free access to this app in exchange for an honest review

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with a 7 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply.
