Dressed for the occasion with Fun Warehouse

Monkey’s not the greatest fan of getting dressed up as a superhero and I can’t persuade him that he really does need a Star Wars Storm Trooper outfit (darn it!).  But he does like dressing up as what he sees as real people – be it an astronaut, racing driver or policeman. I’m sure it won’t be long until he needs to go to school in themed outfits so we decided we’d be prepared and he got Dressed for the occasion with Fun Warehouse.

We looked at a few options, which sadly were too big for Monkey, before settling on the Dodgy Victorian costume.  Bring on dress up day at school – we are ready for you, with no stress!

I ordered the age 4-6 size, as I looked at the measurements for the 7-9 size and thought they’d be just too big.  The joy of this outfit is it doesn’t matter if Monkey grows too much, he’ll just look even more poverty-stricken in this outfit.

The outfit arrived promptly and I couldn’t wait to see Monkey’s face.  I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed when I first opened the package.  The hat is made from felt and was a bit crumpled, and the material around the jacket collar is really flimsy.  But what do I know – the face says it all.

Monkey loves getting dressed for the occasion with Fun Warehouse.  He really adores his new outfit and has dressed up repeatedly since it arrived. The top/jacket goes on over the head with a velcro fastening at the neckline.  The trousers are elasticated and aren’t too tight for a nearly 6 year old Monkey.

Monkey certainly looks like a cheeky Artful Dodger don’t you think?  This outfit is currently on offer at Fun Warehouse for £14.45.

They have a whole host of costumes for all the family; from super heroes and Star Wars, all kinds of occupations, film and TV stars, Halloween and Christmas are all covered. Definitely worth looking around the website for ideas.
