Wooden Nativity Set

Wooden Nativity Set #WhatWOODYouPlay?

It’s official, Christmas really is just around the corner.  My Papa was a Vicar, and whilst religion was never thrust upon us as children, it was a part of Christmas for me.  Crib services, Christmas carols and the story behind why we celebrate Christmas are still important to me as a mother to Monkey.  He’s been in two Nativity plays now, and we’ve been going to our local crib service for some years.  He knows the story before the songs, and whilst he’s young, I want this to be part of our own Christmas celebrations.  Being a lover of wooden toys, this lovely Wooden Nativity Set from the ASDA George Home range, will be a great addition to our home this year.

The Wooden Nativity Set is aimed at children aged 3 years and over and comes with a wooden Stable, Mary Joseph and a sleeping baby Jesus in his manger, the Angel Gabriel, 3 Wise Men, a Shepherd and Sheep, Camel and Tree.

The pieces are really tactile and easy for young children to position in imaginative play scenes.

Monkey was straight down to play as soon as he opened the box, working out who all the characters were and were they should be placed.

For £15 we’ve both been impressed with this Wooden Nativity Set.  It’s well made, Monkey loves the fact the stable even has a star on it.  It would be perfect for me if all the pieces fit inside the stable for storage purposes, but Monkey’s happy as things are.  He’s already counting down the days until he can start setting up his nativity scene.

There are a number of larger wooden play sets within the range, including this Rocket that Bubbablue and Me have been having space adventures with.  All are really very reasonably priced.
