The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen

The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen

I love children’s stories that are passed on from one generation to the next and can still be loved as much, many years on.  Parragon Books have published a lovely hardback book today with a collection of The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen.

The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen

The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen has 192 pages and contains 8 classic tales from the Danish author, retold by Mandy Archer.

The tales featured are:

The Little Mermaid, The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Ugly Duckling, The Fir Tree, The Snow Queen, The Nightingale, The Princess and the Pea and The Steadfast Tin Soldier.

I liked the selection of stories, some that Monkey already knows well, and others like The Fir Tree, that we read together for the first time.

The Ugly Duckling is a firm family favourite and it’s a story that just doesn’t age at all.

The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen

This is a lovely collection and would make a great present for Christmas or birthdays. Classic stories and a book that can be kept for future generations to enjoy.
