During the half term holidays we received a package, the question was would it contain a Trick or Treat with Jumbo Games? Well, we were definitely going to be in for a treat.
We received a beautiful Halloween themed 1000 piece puzzle from Falcon and the very first Junior WASGIJ 100 piece puzzle, also titled Halloween.
We decided to have a look at the WASGIJ Junior Halloween puzzle first. Monkey was intrigued as he’s seen me working on my own WASGIJ puzzles before.
This puzzle is aimed at children aged 6 and over and the child needs to look at the picture on the lid and decide what happens next. That is the puzzle that is then built. Monkey will be 6 in a couple of weeks time, and although he’s quite happy to complete a 100 piece puzzle, this idea was a little too much for him. He was happier to watch me work through it this time around.
This is a fun puzzle to complete even as an adult. The graphics are vibrant and we both chuckled as the story appeared in front of our eyes.
‘The WASGIJ Junior Halloween is a puzzle I can see Monkey enjoying in the future. Certainly as he becomes more confident putting larger puzzles together over the coming year, I know we’ll come back to this jigsaw.
As it was, once I’d completed the puzzle, Monkey did spend ages looking at all the differences and working out what had happened to each character.
I was certainly in for a real treat with the Falcon Halloween 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.
I love the painting by Tony Ryan that has been used on this particular puzzle. I know it’s themed on Halloween, but really, any puzzler is going to enjoy putting this together, no matter what time of year. This was to be my first experience of the Falcon Nostalgia Collection of puzzles, and it certainly won’t be the last.
There is so much detail in this puzzle, it has a really wistful feel to it. From the Pumpkins lanterns strung across the houses to the boy apple bobbing as his friends enjoying their trick or treating, this jigsaw is a delight.
The puzzle pieces are well made and fit together nicely, and this Halloween puzzle has kept me entertained on a few dark November nights.
The Falcon Halloween jigsaw puzzles retails for £11.99, whilst the WASGIJ Junior Halloween puzzle sells for £5.99. I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate links below for both puzzles for your convenience. I can certainly recommend both puzzles for fans of all ages.
