Lotus Drake flat shoes from House of Fraser

I walk a lot, it’s something I enjoy. I’m not a runner or a jogger, but I do like walking. These days life is mostly about being practical. The need for life in 3 inch heels seems to be behind me, that’s fine, my life right now is all about comfort, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t want a bit of style thrown in for good measure. These lovely Lotus Drake flat shoes from House of Fraser really hit the mark for me.

I tend to live in jeans, leggings and my new jeggings (go me) during the day and these shoes work well with all scenarios. I’m always anxious with new shoes – will they be comfy, will they rub, will they fit properly. I’m a half-size really, which can be a real pain when finding shoes to fit me. I ordered these Lotus Drake flat shoes in a size 6, in Brown, and waited anxiously, please fit!

I had no need to worry, I’ve been wearing these with socks and they fit really well, not tight, not too slack. They slip on and have an elasticated panel at the front.  Actually they fit wonderfully well and I absolutely love them. It’s not often that I would confidently decide to walk the streets of London in new shoes, but I did, I have and my feet survived the experience intact.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with a 7 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure.
