Where Do I Live?

Where Do I Live?

Monkey’s been learning all about different parts of the world at school recently.  I thought the new Where Do I Live? game from Orchard Toys would be perfect for building his knowledge of animal habitats and their inhabitants.

Where Do I Live?

The game is aimed at children aged 3-6 years of age and can be played with 2-4 players.  I was introduced to Where Do I Live? at Toy Fair in January, where it had just won the Toy Fair Best New Toy in the Games & Puzzle category.  So that’s good to be a fairly good endorsement.

Where Do I Live?

The game comes with 4 sturdy, double-sided boards, 24 animal cards, 4 explorer cards and an instruction leaflet.

The idea of the game is to be the first player to find all of the animals for your habitat ad then find the relevant explorer to win the game outright.

When the game is over, turn your boards over to learn lots of interesting facts about the habitat and it’s animals.

Where Do I Live?

We’ve really enjoyed playing Where Do I Live? We’ve had so many discussions based on the game pieces.

We’ve talked about the various animals and what makes them best suited to each habitat.  We’ve got our atlas and globe out and worked out where the habitats could actually be, which has then led us on to talking about different countries.  We’ve also worked through which animals Monkey has actually seen for himself, either at the Zoo or Aquarium.  This game really has lots of added value to it.

This is a great Lotto style game, offering lots of educational value as well as helping children work on their observations skills.  It’s another winner from Orchard Toys here. Priced at £9.50, you can buy Where Do I Live? direct from Orchard Toys, or from any good retailers.
