Zootropolis toys from Tomy

Last week saw the release of a new Disney film and I’m trying to squeeze in a visit to see it with Monkey during the school holidays.  In the meantime we’ve been having fun with the new Zootropolis toys from Tomy.

Tomy have launched a wide range of toys to celebrate the new Disney Zootropolis film, all aimed at children aged 3 years and over.  As soon as I saw the selection we received I knew they’d be a hit.

Officer Judy Hopps (priced at £16.99)  is the new Bunny in town, determined to show the other cops on the force that she’s just as good as them.

This plush toy talks to you when you squeeze her tummy, and works with 2 x AAA batteries which are supplied.  Officer Judy Hopps is approx 36cms tall from foot to ear and has a range of phrases.  She’s rather lovable and has been helping Monkey solve many a crime since she’s arrived.

Judy’s Carrot Recorder and Badge set (priced at £12.99) has been providing us with lots of entertainment since we opened the box.

The badge itself features a rigid clip on the back so you can attach it to trousers, it’s less easy to attach to tops and Monkey hasn’t been so fussed with using it.  But Judy’s Carrot Recorder itself has been a big hit.  It works with 2 x AAA batteries which are included, comes with a more flexible clip attachment and is really simply to operate. You press the button to the on setting ?, press the record button and talk, then press the play button to share your recording.  Monkey has loved playing with this.  The only downside – you override your previous recording every time you record something new.  But that hasn’t really bothered Monkey at all.

The biggest hit with the Zootropolis toys from Tomy has certainly been the Judy’s Police Cruiser set (priced at £22.99).  The Cruiser comes with a poseable Officer Judy Hopps character and a Law Breaking Mouse!

The Cruiser itself required 3 x AAA batteries to operate the Lights feature of this toy, these are also included.  The lights will flash Red or Blue depending on whether you are going in forward or reverse motion.

You can put Officer Judy behind the wheel and the boot of the cruiser contains a removable cell for the naughty mouse.  It’s been a great hit here so far.

Judy’s Police Cruiser set even featured in the recent Easter Egg Heist of 2016!

Monkey loves his Zootropolis toys from Tomy and I have a feeling our Officer Judy Hopps may just come to the cinema with us soon.
