I am NOT a Dinosaur!

I am NOT a Dinosaur!

I’m sticking with a prehistoric theme today.  This morning saw me talking about Dinotrux toys and this afternoon I’m sharing a prehistoric delight in the form of a great, factual book. I am NOT a Dinosaur! is another great find from Sterling Books, which is written by Will Lack and illustrated by Jonny Lambert.

I am NOT a Dinosaur!

Monkey has learnt so much about the prehistoric world both from school topics and Andy’s Prehistoric Adventures in CBeebies, and I am NOT a Dinosaur! gives him a factual guide to some of his favourite creatures.

I am NOT a Dinosaur!

We visited the Natural History Museum again in London recently, and Monkey was thrilled to find a Woolly Mammoth on display, and just as excited to discover one in this book.

The illustrations throughout are just lovely.  Through rhyming text we are introduced to a wide range of animals, from ocean faring Dunkleosteus and Latimeria to airborne Pterosaurs.

I am NOT a Dinosaur!

Even Neanderthal man gets a mention, along with some rather well known dinosaurs.

At the back of I am NOT a Dinosaur! there a few facts about each animal along with a timeline placing each animal mentioned into the relevant prehistoric time period.

I am NOT a Dinosaur! is a lovely addition to our library and any fan of prehistoric animals will enjoy it.  This hardback book is priced at £10.99 and I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate link below for your reference.
