Half term fun at Brewers Fayre

Half term fun at Brewers Fayre

I don’t know why, but this term seems so much shorter than last term.  The holidays are approaching fast.  If you are looking for ideas to occupy the kids, whilst giving you a bit of relaxation time, then it might be worth thinking about some half term fun at Brewers Fayre.  The family pub restaurant group have branches across the country, offering good value meals for all the family, in a relaxed and friendly environment.

We often pop into Brewers Fayre for lunch or dinner, both locally, or when we’re off on an adventure.  This half term parents can relax and have a few minutes peace and quiet whilst the kids enjoy the recently refurbished Beano themed soft play area (selected sites only). Each child will receive an activity pack where they can draw, solve puzzles and read about the latest Beano adventures, whilst waiting for their meals to arrive.  Then when everyone has enjoyed their feast, they leave with a balloon!  Happy kids equal chilled out parents in my opinion.

It’s also worth checking with your local Brewers Fayre to see if they are running Discos for the children over half term too, on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th February (selected sites only). The Toddlers disco will run from 9.30am – 3pm while the Kids will run from 3.30- 7.30pm, at a cost of £3 per child.

I’ve featured some of the great deals at Brewers Fayre before – the Daytime Value from 12 – 6pm Monday to Friday offers visitors two starters for £2.50, two mains for just £10.99 and two desserts for £2.50.  There are also different themed nights running throughout the week from 5-8pm at the Chef’s Counter where you can enjoy Pizza, Curry, Mexican or Burgers and Hot Dogs during the week.

The childrens menu offers all the classics and children can eat 3 courses for £4.99, side dishes can also be changed from a selection of 9 different options.  On our recent visit Monkey and his friend C opted for Garlic Bread and Gn-Achos and Salsa starters, The Menace Burger and The Cod-Apult main meals with Ice Cream and a Chocolate Indulgence Sundae for pudding.

My friend L and I bypassed the starters to ensure we had room for pudd!  We had the Steak, Mushroom and Guinness Pie and Ultimate Sausage and Mash for our main meals and Treacle Tart and Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert.

You can see the full menus on the Brewers Fayre website, and it’s definitely worth thinking about for a half term destination.
