On Monday we went to one of our favourite places, Waddesdon Manor. It’s somewhere Monkey and I visit a lot, but normally when Daddy P is working. He hadn’t seen the Christmas Lights or the Gingerbread House so we thought we’d spend a couple of hours there as he had most of the day off. I’d treated myself to a 70-300mm lens for Christmas and hadn’t had an opportunity to try it out. I’ve always had a thing about stonework and just knew I could get up close and personal and see details that would normally pass me by.
This handsome chap stands way up high at the very top of the manor house. You can just see the purple tinge of the lights to come once the sun had set. I’ll be back to take a whole series of chimney shots I think. They have fabulous chimneys and guttering there. It’s the little things in life you know!
Cheeky choppy, I’m looking forward to the chimneys and guttering shots
So am I
It’s amazing the details these old manor houses have!
