Britains JCB Midi Excavator 86C-1#digtheadventure

Monkey is never happier than when his working on an imaginary building site.  He loves using anything and everything as rubble.  Nothing is safe.  We recently received the Britains JCB Midi Excavator 86C-1 from HTI and Monkey could not have been happier.  It’s one vehicle he doesn’t own, and a great addition to his fleet apparently.

Britains JCB Midi Excavator 86C-1

The Britains JCB Midi Excavator 86C-1 is a 1:32 die-cast metal model, suitable for children aged 3 years and over.

The body rotates 360° so it can handle any manoeuvre.  The excavator arm raises and lowers from two parts along the arm and can swivel from side to side.  With a bucket that tilts backwards and forward it can scoop and dump rubble around the building site.

Making it the perfect excavator for any smaller construction site job.

It also includes a movable front blade which my expert tells me is very handy.  The caterpillar tracks also rotate, for a really authentic feel, although they don’t like our old carpet much.

As with all the vehicles we have from the Britains range, the Britains JCB Midi Excavator 86C-1 is well made and gives children a really authentic feel to their play time.  Monkey just loves it.

Monkey loves all the moving parts and we’ve talked a lot about hydraulics and how the excavator arm actually moves.  It’s great for him to see these machines for real as we pass building sites, and then come home and look at such good replicas close up.

My little JCB expert has also discovered that the Britains JCB Midi Excavator 86C-1 has a moveable plastic wing mirror. He loves the idea that he can adjust the mirror, I love the fact that this probably means it is less likely to break.

All in all this is a great little model and priced around £17.99, it’s another great vehicle in the range.  I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate link below for you.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with a 7 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure.
