Getting ready for warmer days with Hotter

Getting ready for warmer days with Hotter #SS17

Last week I got to go out for a few hours in the evening, caught the bus into Oxford and met up with a number of other Oxfordshire Bloggers.  We’d been invited to the Oxford store of Hotter and I couldn’t wait to see what they have on offer in their new Spring Summer collection .

We’d be getting ready for warmer days with Hotter, and I for one, was focussed on sandals.  I just know that sunshine is around the corner.

The Hotter store in Oxford is located on Queen Street, just along from where the Westgate Shopping Centre is currently being refurbished.  We received a warm welcome from Aggie and her staff and were soon invited to have a browse around the bright and welcoming store.

Having lived in my Hotter shoe boots and long boots from Autumn through the Winter, I can vouch for just how comfy their footwear is.  I’m a big fan, and knew that those looking at the brand for the first time, would soon be impressed, by the quality, comfort and style.

Forget any ideas that Hotter are just for the older generation.  I was the oldest blogger there, most were very much rooted in their twenties, and they left loving the brand as much as I do.

There are styles and colours to suit all tastes, and a number of us, found it quite difficult to pick out our favourite. Whether you like florals, bows, plain, buckles or toe posts, pumps or walking sandals, you really are spoilt for choice.

Getting ready for warmer days with Hotter couldn’t be easier.  I was totally focussed on sandals, although I very nearly got sidetracked into adding another shade to my Donna collection!  Nathalie went for the Donna in baby blue, Abbey for the Lavender, both could quite easily have come home with me!

Emma was torn but decided on the Trinity Shoes in a two-tone Black Pebble/Black mix, which she could wear for both work and leisure.

Getting ready for warmer days with Hotter and I had a tough decision to make.  I never wear pumps, but I was quite smitten with the Precious Shoes in Aquamarine.  They even have a match bag!

In the shop they looked a lot greener than my photos are showing.  The pumps were really lovely to wear, and I was so torn as I’d also found the Island Sandals in Blue Multi.  These are totally me, the strap colours match a lot of my summer wardrobe.  I knew I’d live in them.

Which to go for?  My Instagram feed was veering towards the pump, my Facebook page towards the sandal. In the end I opted for the Island sandals, purely because of the colours.

Everyone keeps talking about the pumps, and I keep kicking myself for not getting them too now.  With my birthday in a few weeks, I’m hoping someone near to home might get the hint and go back for them.

But I’m so happy with my Island Sandals, they have an adjustable buckle fastening, two straps are elasticated, the insole in cushioned and contoured to make them a perfect sunshiny day choice for my footwear.  Even the weather has improved since they came home with me.

With built in arch support and the cork sole that I love for summer sandals, I’ve already put these sandals to the test with two school walks. They are very comfy, just as I’d expect and I can’t wait for a Spring and Summer full of warm, sunny days, to make the most of my new sandals.

To take a look at the full range you can either pop over to the Hotter website or visit one of their many stores across the country.

So which would you have picked – strappy sandal or pretty pump?

disclosure:  we were given the sandals mentioned in exchange for our honest thoughts.

  1. I’m debating the green too. My black ones are taking some time to wear in – just wearing them at work, and not the walk at lunch or in and out. I need to crush the top of the heel to soften them, but the green would have been comfy from the start because they’re softer material

  2. I think you went for the right choice. I really do like the sandals, their straps look delicate but a wedge of a heel makes them look more realistic for the school run!
The Aquamarine shoes and matching bag made me smile – they looked rather blue and I know how much you like blue!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
