About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with a 7 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.

  1. I would be called major stress and I would be able to move stress from one person to another…as you can tell Im quite stressed at the moment lol

  2. Super Pooper Scooper Girl…not only does she heroically rid the streets of dog eggs she’s also a bit of a whizz at chewing gum removal too!
Unfortunately she’s not very good at reading instructions and filled the box on Gleam widget wrong!

  3. supermum, the power to do housework in seconds and listen into every room so you can hear what mischief the kids are upto

  4. Hexnanny with lots of little bugs that could see what is going on, and I would now instantly if the kids need me or if they are up to no good. LOL

  5. I would be the Thigh-Mistress, I would have the ability to eat as much as I wanted and still have a nice shaped bottom and legs….lol My side-kick is Bingo Wings, who can fly with her flappy arm skin!

  6. This week I need sleep and calm so I would create ‘Peace and Harmony Girl’ She would be able to bring calm to any situation with just the wave of her hand!

  7. SuperGrannyLynn and she would be able to pedal her bike up in the sky to get her grandchildren to school super quick!

  8. My Superhero would be called ‘Oracle’ and she would be the font of all wisdom and knowledge. She’d look just like my nan and her nemesis would be my dad (her son) called ‘Knowitall’ who only thinks he does…and she can slap him down with just a wink and a shake of the head 😉

  9. My superhero would be called Flash and she would do daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking so quick that she has time to do more things she enjoys like spending time with her family.

  10. Lady Love! I would like to have the power to make everyone stop and think, then see the good in themselves, others and life, imagine how much better the world could be! plus I could make my 16 year old smile sometimes 😉

  11. I’d. Be Super Speed Steph and my magic powers would be just that, it would he amazing to get all the house cleaned rapidly!

  12. Turntimer – So i could go back in time & not say those off the cuff remarks that upset someone,Or not done a silly thing that resulted in an injury.

  13. My superhero would be Super Savvy Sally and she would have the power to walk into any organisation and instantly make it super efficient and cost effective without ousting anyone from their jobs. she would save the economy one company at a time xx

  14. Being able to create multiple versions of myself, no more ‘I haven’t got time to do that!’ as I can just make another me to do it! Seriously this is the power I want, being the Geek I am I’ve put a lot of thought into it too! The name needs work though as there are a couple of characters with similar abilities, but for you can call me Multi-Guy! 🙂

  15. Space Bouncer, with the power to instantly bounce between places via teleporation. It would save so much time and money in travel and let me see my family more often.

  16. Well I already am Super Mum (with the ability to work full time, organise everything at home AND raise 2 kids) so I would give myself the power to create money!

  17. Invisiwoman – her name explains her powers. She can be invisible when she chooses so there are no arguments as to who said what or who did what as she sees and hears everything!

  18. I would go for a superhero called Superkind who would travel the universe teaching children how to be kind to each other, to animals and wildlife and to the planet.

  19. I would be called Powerwash, would be able to clean things just by pointing at them. Sounds great doesn’t it !?!
