What a lucky day

What a lucky day!

They say things come in three’s, and today has definately proved that saying right.

Firstly, I had entered a Twitter competition with Ladybird over the weekend and today I heard that they had reached their 6000 follower target and I had been selected as one of fifteen followers to receive a lovely soft toy ladybird.  Monkey is going to love him – I’m pretty sure he’ll be called Gastonn) but let’s see if he proves me wrong!

Secondly, my parents live in Spain, and my Mum’s camera has died on her.  She’s not the best person with technology, so we agreed that I would source a new camera, set it up and then post it over to her.  I looked on the Argos website and decided on the best camera for her which I duly bought, set up and posted over last Monday.  On  Saturday it still hadn’t arrived and I was thinking the worse, but Dad advised that there were numerous strikes on in Spain at the moment and not to panic.  Joy of joy, an email arrived this afternoon to let me know that the camera had arrived in one piece.  I’m sure that there will still be lots of photos of my Dad’s decapitated body, David Bailey she is not, but hopefully she will enjoy using it when they visit Toledo next week for her birthday 🙂

My third bit of good news arrived later this afternoon.  I have been following The Toadstool since being introduced to them on an IzziwizziKids Playfest evening.  The product ranges offered are right up my street and I’ve been keeping an eye on their new ranges on their Facebook page.  They run a fan of the week competition, where you actively comment on a particular range during the week, and the most active participant at the end of the week wins a prize.  This last week the Fan of the Week competition has related to the Wonderworld product range – beautiful wooden toys and games, with the winner getting 50% discount off a maximum of 3 items from the range.  I was in it to win it!!  I fell in love with the Wonderworld Eco-house; seeing it as a ‘boy friendly’ dolls house when it was introduced on Playfest.  Anyway, after a week of adding comments, sharing and liking I won Fan of the Week!!!!  I have ordered Monkey the Eco-house (might have to wait for Easter to play with it) and also this great game teaching children about team work and global warming with the cutest penguins.

Once Monkey has had time to play with the Eco-house and Penguin game I will post reviews – one excited Mummy can’t wait to see them 🙂
