Plum Products visit

Plum Products visit – singing in the rain – AD press event

disclosure: we were given a sandpit as a thank you for attending this event.

Looking at the sun streaming through our Living Room window this evening it is hard to believe that this time last week it was absolutely pouring down with rain.

Plum Products visitLast Friday we were invited to an event with Plum Products to view their new Trampoline designs, new Premium range of outdoor products, test the new 2013 outdoor collection and get a chance to play with their new range of indoor role play products.

Have you heard of Plum Products?  I’ve had a few comments in the last week confusing them with a certain company that make yoghurt, so to clarify …..

Plum Products are a family run business, with over 24 years trading experience.  They manufacture a wide range of predominantly wooden outdoor toys – climbing frames, trampolines, sand pits and swing sets, for all sizes of garden.  They are also expanding into indoor role play ranges.

The event was held just outside Milton Keynes, I picked my son up early from pre-school and drove through the pouring rain wondering what I was doing!  Trampolining in this downpour??  Oh well, never mind.  Good old English weather.  We got stuck in a tractor convoy so were a few minutes late, I was rather anxious; how would my son be with a lot of strange faces, would I feel comfortable etc etc etc.  It seems so long ago that I used to do overseas visits and exhibitions!

Anyway, no need to panic, we were made to feel very welcome by all involved with the event, and my son settled in really well.  The lady from Plum Products showed us their current range of indoor role play products and their ideas for the Christmas market – I’m sworn to secrecy at the moment – but they have some great ideas to fill those stockings up – watch this space!

I had heard of Plum Products outdoor equipment but had no idea of their indoor range,  my son cooked up a storm in the various kitchens and kept me well supplied with his cooking!

Being British we weren’t going to stop a little bit of rain AKA a deluge, stop us from looking at the outdoor ranges that were on display.  They looked wonderful, it was such a shame that the weather was just too awful for the children to really spend any time exploring.

The photo’s really don’t show you how bad the weather was, or show the ranges that were set up.  It would have been wonderful to have seen them all up close and for my son and the other children to have explored – it just wasn’t possible. The newly launched Premium Range includes a wonderful wooden see-saw, some great activity tables and for those of you with larger gardens, there are some amazing wooden playhouses. All made from high-quality European Spruce.

My son and I (ok, probably more ME than son) had been dying to try the trampolines, but we admired them from afar. Unfortunately, we have an extremely small garden, so these are not such a great option for us, but they look so much fun. The rain kept coming down, so we all headed back indoors, had some more cooking sessions and then, before we knew it, it was time to go home. We’d had a great time, despite the weather and got to meet some fellow bloggers and their families – Mum Mum Heart, MS Mummy of Two and My Mummy’s World.

  1. Shame about the rain, but what a fabulous opportunity. I would have loved to have a peek at all their fab toys. And lucky Monkey getting a sand pit – hope he’s enjoying it!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
