PosterFriend – a great way of showing off your Facebook photos – AD sent for review

disclosure: I was given a free code to order this poster for the purpose of review, my comments, however, remain my own honest thoughts.

Do you have loads of photographs linked to your Facebook account? I know I do, and most were taken on my phone and have never been printed out. Then I was introduced to PosterFriend,

posterfriend-logo_trPosterFriendTM lets you select your favourite Facebook pictures of you and your friends and quickly create a poster full of memories.

What a great idea!  I love taking photographs, I’m not so great at printing them out these days, the only downside to going digital! I’ve always wanted to make a photo collage of Monkey, but never had the time, patience or artistic flair!  So this sounded like a really good solution.

So how easy would it be for the old techno-dinosaur to create? The process from start to finish was so easy to follow, and I’d completed my poster in a matter of minutes.

The first thing to do is decide on the size of the poster you want, I went for an A2 sized landscape poster for £15.00.

There are other sizes – A1, Large Square (59cmx59cm) and Small Square (42cmx42cm).  the A1 and A2 sizes can be purchased in either Landscape or Portrait.  Prices range from £12-£25.

You then decide if you want 35, 54 or 96 images displayed on your poster.  I selected 54.

PosterFriend then connects to your Facebook account and you can select to display your albums or group tags.  I selected My Albums, you can also select 2 other friends Albums (shared not private) (this would have been very useful if Daddy P used Facebook too!)

I could then select an album and add any photos from that album to my poster.  I clicked on each album in turn and selected the photos of my son I wanted.  So easy!

Once I’d selected my 54 photos, I could see a preview of my poster.  It was easy to move photos around within the collage, I wanted to mix everything up, I changed the margin colour and size until I was happy with the overall look of my poster.  I hope it turns out to be as good in real life as the preview.

PosterFriend currently has a 50% off offer on extra sets – well worth considering for presents.

I accepted my preview, delivery is normally £4.99 for a 5 working day service (but this is also Free at the moment on a special offer!)

Order placed and now to wait for my poster ……. well I placed my order on Wednesday evening and it arrived today in a cardboard poster tube – not bad service.

So what does it look like?  The poster is in a matt finish and is made on photo quality paper, and comes with 4 drawing pins.  There is no way I’m using pins or blue-tack to put my poster up – I LOVE IT – it is being framed!!

These photo’s do not do the poster justice, even bah humbug Daddy P thinks it is wonderful and has agreed that we should hang our poster in our Living Room.  I’m really pleased with the results, so much nicer than having the photos on a computer or in an album.

  1. This looks really good, and as you say, a great idea for presents, too. I’ll be looking into it this weekend…!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
