Collette the Cow – when a clothing brand meets a book publisher – a review

As you know we recently visited Egmont for an event, and Monkey was given a little goodie bag.  One of the items he received was a copy of Collette the Cow – a brand new board book. Collette the Cow Collette the Cow

Egmont have teamed up with the clothing brand Olive&Moss to bring us a series of 4 First books – Louis the Lion, Michael the Monkey, Margot and Mo and Collette the Cow.  The books were launched yesterday.

The series introduce children aged 1 years and over, to colours, shapes, numbers and noises.  Collette the Cow is all about colours and through the 10 pages we meet an array of her colourful animal friends. Collette the Cow - animals and colours Collette the Cow – animals and colours

It’s a lovely book, with clear illustrations matching those of the clothes within the Olive&Moss range.

Monkey decided to give this book to one of his NCT friends little brother who is now 15 months old and just starting to enjoy looking at books with his Mummy.

Both Mummy A and I think this is a really nice book and a fun way for little people to learn all about colours and animals.

disclaimer:  we were given this book as a gift, but decided it definately deserved a review.  Our comments are our own honest thoughts.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

A Mum with a 9 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
