My Big Truck Book – AD sent for review

disclosure: we were sent this book for the purpose of review

I think I might have mentioned before that my son is slightly obsessed with all sorts of vehicles.  We often borrow factual books from the Library on all things vehicle related so when we received My Big Truck Book from the lovely people at Ticktock Books, the Children’s Book arm of Octopus Publishing.

My Big Truck Book, Ticktock Books

This hardback book, published in July this year, is primarily aimed at children aged 5-7 years, but this is exactly the type of book we regularly borrow from our Library.  My son, aged nearly 4 years, loves this book already.  There are 24 pages of colourful photographs of numerous vehicles – not just trucks.  The paper is really quite thick, so hopefully, there is no chance of him tearing any pages.

The book is full of useful facts about the various machines – tractors, backhoe loaders, fire engines, refuse trucks and the like.  My son may not be able to read this book himself yet, but he absorbs the kind of information held within this kind of book like a sponge.  He understands, stores the facts and then tells me and Daddy P all about it at a later date.

Any vehicle mad young child is going to want to add this book to their bookshelf, it’s a big hit here. My Big Trucks Book is retailing at ££6.99 and is available through all good retailers including Amazon.

  1. We have this too and it’s great. My kids always seem to love these kind of books even from about 2 years, because of the pictures. With all of mine once they hit 2, they go into a vehicles obsession lol (sure many boys do!) so anything like this really suits them 😀

  2. We’ve got this one too. Z took it off to his room before I had the chance to look at it though lol. Great review 🙂

  3. My son loves these kind of books too – big pictures with snippets of information, although he’s not that fussed about hearing all the bits.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
