I don’t know about you, but once September hits I know we’re heading to colder and damper months ahead. I stock the medicine cupboard with cold and flu remedies and plenty of balsam tissues. I know what’s coming – months of sneezing, nose blowing, or sleeve wiping in Monkey’s case (note to self: got to crack that bad habit this winter!), feeling sorry for myself and wrapping up in extra layers. Yes, I am particularly prone to catch every germ going over the colder months. So if I’ve got the chance to say goodbye to colds and flu I’m certainly going to prick my ears up.
NasalGuard Cold&FluBLOCK is a new and innovative, water-based, drug-free gel designed to reduce the likelihood of getting sick from cold & flu viruses by creating an invisible barrier around the nose.
This preventative treatment can be worn over or under make-up and is suitable for pregnant women and children, and can be used safely alongside other treatments.
Now the cold and flu season runs from October – April so I’m happy to give this product a go and see you’ll be able to judge for yourselves if it’s working or not!
This little tube should last for 150 applications, which sounds really good, but you do have to re-apply the gel every 4-6 hours. So for a family of 3, this tube is going to last us roughly 8-12 days. At a cost of £11.99 per tube (this product is available exclusively from Boots stores and their website), I’m not sure if this is a luxury I will be able to afford in the long run, so for a first trial I’m going to be a tad selfish and just keep the NasalGuard Cold&FluBLOCK for myself. Let’s face it, if I can avoid picking any germs up from Monkey then this really will be well proven.
