I’m a bit of a softie when it comes to cuddly toys and Tatty Teddy has always been a firm favorite. I’m not sure if I was more excited than Monkey to be invited to the Join In and Play Tatty Puppy Launch at Hamleys last Sunday. Daddy P was coming with us and was definately looking forward to a visit to London and the amazing selection of toys available at Hamleys. We arrived bang on time, very impressive with Daddy P thrown into the mix, and wait expectantly outside the doors with a number of other families, including the lovely Natalie Cassidy (how happy was this ‘Enders and Strictly fan!!). Anyway, the doors opened and we were invited inside……
A very kind Rag Doll and Tin Soldier introduced us to Tatty Teddy and started us on our treasure hunt in search of Tatty Teddy, Tatty Puppy and their Blue Nosed friends. We had great fun exploring the store and ticking the friends off our list – our treasure? Some Tatty Teddy cake of course! Yum Yum!
We also got to meet the Join In and Play Puppy – how cute is he!
This little cutie is aimed at the under 8’s (girls specifically, but I wouldn’t mind him myself). He’s very clever – barks, wags his tail, tilts his head, sits and stretches just like a real puppy, but without the need for walks and feeding – my kind of dog! Now for the really clever stuff – if you also download the Blue Nose Friends – Tatty Puppy App (from iTunes and Google Play) then Tatty Puppy will actually interact with the games! I know a few young ladies who would love that idea. There is a free version of the App and an extended 6 game version for £1.99 – no further purchases required, so at least it won’t break the bank.
There’s also a Tatty Teddy’s Dress Up Wardrobe which can also be used as a carry case for Tatty Teddy and Tatty Puppy’s outfits – yes you can buy outfits too! I would have been in heaven if this was available xx years ago.
I wonder just how many Join In and Play Tatty Puppies will be finding new homes very soon!
There are also a whole host of Tatty Teddy items for all of us fans to stock up on!
Jigsaws, cuddly toys – you can NEVER have too many of them, pencil sets, stacker crayon sets and more besides. I have a number of young ladies to buy for this Christmas and my job just got a whole lot easier.
We had a great time meeting Tatty Teddy, Tatty Puppy and their friends. Monkey got a bit star struck and wouldn’t have his photo taken with Tatty Teddy, and he’s not a fan of face painting but he did enjoy the cake!
