Rastamouse and Da Micespace Mystery

Rastamouse and Da Micespace Mystery – AD sent for review

disclosure:  we were sent this book for the purpose of review

We first discovered Rastamouse and his Easy Crew on Cbeebies last year.  At that time my son wasn’t too keen, but I thought he was really funny myself.  Now a year on, he’s aged nearly 4 years and has changed his mind.  He likes to see how Rastamouse and da Easy Crew will save the day in all their adventures in Mouseland.  He doesn’t understand the language necessarily, but he understands what’s happening and laughs along.  When we opened a package last week and found a copy of Rastamouse and Da Micespace Mystery inside I knew we’d enjoy this lovely new book.

Rastamouse and Da Micespace Mystery

Rastamouse and Da Micespace Mystery is a new book written by Michael De Souza and Genevieve Webster (who also does the lovely illustrations).  We meet up with Rastamouse and da Easy Crew – Scratchy and Zoomer, great mice friends who are always on hand to solve a good mystery.

It looks as if Rastamouse has as much luck with computers as I do!  My son found this very funny.  The friends were trying to upload a song without much luck so decided to head off to Grove Street for some fun instead.

Meanwhile, disaster has struck.  The President, Wensley Dale has discovered a cybercrime!  All the Mouseland millions have disappeared – he won’t be able to give the Orphanage Children any treats or take them on a trip.

The Easy Crew are called in to help.  Wensley Dale has received a strange-looking email from a Mi$ter Fl@$h ……. can Rastamouse and Da Easy Crew solve the Micespace Mystery?

I won’t ruin the whole story for you, but let’s just say that Rastamouse always gets his man.  This is a humorous storybook, full of text and vibrant illustrations.  I’ve had to get my teeth around the Jamaican styled language but my son and I have had some laughs in the process.

This 40-page paperback picture book was published on 12th September and is priced at £6.99.  Any Rastamouse fan is going to love it!
